Do you believe God wants you to live healed, whole, blessed, and prosperous? If so, are you believing with head knowledge or heart knowledge? Has God revealed these truths to you, or did you only read the words in the Bible?

To believe means to accept or feel sure that something is true, to have faith. You can read the Bible and believe what it says with your head; however, there is a difference when “revelation knowledge” comes to your heart. Revelation knowledge is when God supernaturally communicates truth or fact about Himself that He wants you to know and experience.

Isaiah 53:4-5 says, “Surely He has borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows; yet we esteemed Him stricken, smitten by God, and afflicted. ⁵ But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed.” As you read this scripture, you might say, “Yes, I believe that.” But, has this verse come alive inside your heart? Has God communicated this to you so you know without a shadow of a doubt this is true?

For me, I read this scripture many times and it became my anchor scripture—the scripture I was standing on for my healing. I would tell people I believed I was healed because I saw it in the scripture, however, it didn’t become real to me until the belief moved from my head to my heart and came alive. You might be reading this and thinking, “OK, how do I do that?”  There is no formula or steps to take in order to make this happen. What you can do is get quiet with God and have Him reveal this scripture to you and make it come alive!

During my healing journey, I read and listened to healing scriptures, healing messages, and healing testimonies over and over again. Besides working and doing the necessary chores around the house, I spent every other moment in God’s Word via videos, CDs, books, etc. Throughout the day, I quoted and meditated on Isaiah 53:5 and 1 Peter 2:24 saying, “By His stripes I am healed.” As I mentioned, there is no formula, but it took me several months and hours every day before the revelation knowledge exploded in me and God’s Word became more real to me than my symptoms. I believed God’s Word without a shadow of a doubt. God speaks to us Spirit to Spirit. God’s Word is alive and as you read, listen, and meditate on His Word, His Spirit will speak to the born-again spirit part of who you are.  

You need to get God’s Word inside of you in order for the revelation knowledge to become real. The best example is when a patient is in the hospital and is receiving nourishment and medicine through an intravenous tube. The doctor or nurse puts a tube into the patient’s arm and that is how they are receiving life sustaining fluid. You can do the same with the Word of God. By reading, listening, studying, meditating, and speaking God’s promises for healing you are pumping His Word inside of you. Many people ask me, “How long do I need to do this?” My answer is always the same, “Do it until you see the manifestation of your healing!”  Everyone’s relationship with God is different.  He speaks to me differently than He will speak to you. God knows us so well and that is what is so special about having a personal relationship with Him.

Sometimes, God gives me a word or two and I understand exactly what He means. Someone else might need sentences or even paragraphs to hear and understand from Him. I remember once during my healing journey, I was really struggling with my symptoms. As I called out to God, He said, “Stand firm.” I thought, “What? Can’t you see I’m really struggling here?”  But God knows me so well, and He knew that is all I needed. As I meditated and asked myself, “How do I stand firm? What does that actually mean?” God was equipping me to “stand firm” against the pain and attack on my brain and body.  You might be someone who has great conversations with God, or someone like me who gets one or two words. God’s communication with you is unique. Don’t try to have a relationship with God the way your friend, neighbor, or a TV minister has.  God created you to have a relationship with Him that is special and just between the two of you. 

Let God reveal to you that He sent His Son so that you can live a life healed and whole!
