As we prepare to celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior, let’s look at Jesus’ life when He was on this earth. In Hebrews 13:8, it says, “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, and today, and forever.” Jesus healed everyone who came to Him looking for healing. There are numerous accounts indicating He healed them all.
Jesus was the express image of the Father. He said, “I do always those same things which I see my Father do.” Jesus healed all and never refused a single person. This is proof that God is not the author of sickness.
We only have to read the Gospels to see dozens of examples where Jesus healed all who came to Him. Here are several examples from Matthew, Mark, and Luke showing where great multitudes heard about Jesus’ healing power and came expecting to receive. All four Gospels give accounts of individuals who were healed and in Matthew, Mark, and Luke we are given examples where great multitudes and entire cities and villages received healing as well as deliverance.
Matthew 9:35 – “Then Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people.”
Matthew 12:15 – “But when Jesus knew it, He withdrew from there. And great [a]multitudes followed Him, and He healed them all.”
Mark 1:32-34 – “At evening, when the sun had set, they brought to Him all who were sick and those who were demon-possessed. 33 And the whole city was gathered together at the door. 34 Then He healed many who were sick with various diseases, and cast out many demons; and He did not allow the demons to speak, because they knew Him.”
Mark 6:56 – “Wherever He entered, into villages, cities, or the country, they laid the sick in the marketplaces, and begged Him that they might just touch the hem of His garment. And as many as touched Him were made well.”
Luke 4:40 – “When the sun was setting, all those who had any that were sick with various diseases brought them to Him; and He laid His hands on every one of them and healed them.”
Luke 9:11 – But when the multitudes knew it, they followed Him; and He received them and spoke to them about the kingdom of God, and healed those who had need of healing.”
What we see in these scriptures and in Jesus’ life is how much He loved everyone and was moved with compassion to heal all who came to Him. These scriptures also show that Jesus taught and preached the Gospel and healing followed. If you need healing in your body, listen to what Jesus says about healing. How do you do that? You dive into the Word of God letting Jesus and the Holy Spirit teach you that healing is for you today.
If Jesus healed all who came to Him while He was here on earth, and He is the same yesterday, today, and forever, that means Jesus hasn’t changed and is still able and wants to heal you today!
