You need to:
- take your healing by faith,
- take what has already been provided,
- take God at His Word,
- take what is written in His Word as the absolute truth, and
- take hold of your healing and not let go of it.
Healing is absolutely no problem for God. There is nothing too big for Him. The challenge comes on our end when we try to believe and receive what He has said about healing.
God has given each of us a choice. In Deuteronomy 30:19 He said, “I have set before you life and death, blessings and cursing; therefore, choose life, that both you and your descendants may live.” Choose to take what God has offered—Life and Blessings!
Once you choose life, you then need to take it and receive it. Mark 11:24 says, “I tell you, you can pray for anything, and if you believe that you’ve received it, it will be yours.” The word “received” is an action word that means “to take.” You can easily read that scripture as “you can pray for anything, and if you believe, you can take it and it will be yours.”
You need to rise up in your faith and take what rightfully belongs to you. A friend of mine used the following story to help me understand how to take and receive my healing. She told me that she had already bought my birthday present. It was wrapped and sitting on her dining room table. The present had already been paid for, wrapped, and was ready for me to receive it. I didn’t have the present because I had not received or taken it yet. It is the same with the free gift of healing that Jesus gave you over 2,000 years ago. When Jesus went to the cross and took those 39 stripes on His back, He paid for sickness, disease, pain, etc. Healing has already been bought and paid for; you just need to receive it and take it. Accept what Jesus did and believe the truth in what God’s Word says that you already have this gift of healing. 1 Peter 2:24 says, “By His stripes, you were healed.”
Faith is believing you received (or took) what you needed when you prayed. You need to do the same when you pray for healing. You should take your healing like a dog takes a bone when given one. A dog will clamp down hard on that bone and refuse to turn it loose or let it go. Similar to a football player who is handed or tossed a football, he tucks it into his chest and will not let the opposing team (enemy) take it from him. There is an enemy that wants to steal God’s Word (your healing) from you. As you believe without a shadow of a doubt that you are healed because of what Jesus did on the cross, believe, receive, and do not let go of this free gift.
2 Corinthians 4:18 says, “so we don’t look at the troubles we can see now; rather, we fix our gaze on things that cannot be seen. For the things we see now will soon be gone, but the things we cannot see will last forever.”
You need to:
- see yourself taking your healing when you pray,
- see that it is already a done deal, and
- see yourself in PERFECT HEALTH!
Take your healing by faith and hold on to it – Nike’s slogan is “Just Do It.” A believer’s slogan should be “Just Take It.”
